Suggested RSVP questions

Screenshots show one of our templates. Yours may look slightly different, but the steps are the same.

Introduction

A warm welcome at the top with the essentials: your names, the date, your RSVP deadline and a contact for questions. Make the deadline easy to spot.

Guest details and RSVP

Ask for each guest's name, email address (for confirmations and follow-up) and whether they can attend.

If you'd like each guest to reply separately, even couples and families, add a gentle note asking them to fill in the form once per person. For example: “To make sure we have everyone's details, we kindly ask that each guest submits their RSVP separately. A separate email isn't needed; just refill the form for each member of your party.”

Invite guests to choose their meals (starter, main, dessert) and share any allergies or dietary needs. Multiple-choice questions keep it easy, with an “Other” option for anything not listed.

Message and closing

Give guests space to leave a note or wish. Close with a reminder of the deadline and your contact details.

Example questions

  • Can you attend? (Accept with pleasure / Decline with regret)
  • Please select your main course
  • Please choose your dessert
  • Do you have any food allergies? (No / Dairy / Eggs / Nuts / Other)
  • Would you like to leave a note for the couple?
